I've seen after math of bike wrecks. Both my father and grandfather got in wrecks. My dad got it worse though. Broken ankle and road rash. Was. Not. Pretty.

For some reason, non riders have the ability to enjoy schadenfreude about bike crashes, but it doesn't work in reverse.

I also count myself as damn lucky, as my crash only gave me two scrapes on my arm. I was also riding to church at the time, not that the destination had anything to do with the outcome, but they all went bugeyed upon hearing it.

Definitely not the most gorey-gore and obviously I can't fully appreciate the scrotal misery, but the most head-tilting "how did that even work?" injury I've seen. Family's a bunch of FDNY EMTs and ER nurses so they have great stories too :)
